“Seen”

People tend to lack sympathy for those they have no relation with. This piece allows the viewer to see their loved one in a state of vulnerability. Sickle Cell is a disease that is essentially invisible. One can't look at an individual and know that they have it. Those with Sickle Cell tend to hide it out of fear of judgement and pity. "Seen" is a piece that is meant to bridge the gap between those effected and those who are ignorant to the matter. "Seen" is also a series that the Lockhart's will be sharing with you, explaining how Sickle Cell impacts their life on the daily basis.

In our series we give our perspectives on Sickle Cell as a Caregiver and a Sickle Cell Warrior

Episode 1: Brief definition of Sickle Cell and the history of Sickle Cell
